Black Bean Mexi-Pizza


1- 14 inch Namaste Foods Pizza Crust Mix or Namaste Artisan Pizza Crust Mix
(pre-baked for approx. 20 minutes. Flipping over halfway through.)
1 can black beans
1/4 cup salsa
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 cooked chicken breast, chopped ( or pulled from a roasted chicken )
1 small roma tomato, diced
2 green onions, white and green parts sliced
1 cup Mexican cheese blend
1/4 cup sliced olives


  1. Preheat oven to 450° F.
  2. Place black beans, garlic, cumin, chili powder and salsa in a blender. Purée until smooth. Place 1-1 1/2 cups bean purée on top of pizza crust, top with cheese, chicken, tomatoes, green onions and olives. Bake for 10 minutes. Slice and serve with chopped cilantro and a dollop of sour cream if desired.


  • This pizza would be great made with leftover taco meat in place of chicken, too.
  • A great way to get kids to eat more greens.... top it with shredded lettuce!
  • Or top with sliced jalapenos, fresh avocados (after baking), or any other favorite topping.
