3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter, melted
1-1/4 cups tightly packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-½ cups Namaste Perfect Flour Blend or Namaste Organic Perfect Flour Blend
1 teaspoon gluten free baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup to 1 cup gluten free chocolate chips (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray an 8x8 pan with non-stick spray or line pan with parchment paper and spray paper with non-stick spray.
  2. Mix together melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl until smooth. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until a thick batter forms. Fold in chocolate chips, if using.
  3. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake about 23-27 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with just a few moist crumbs. Cool completely before removing.


  • Add coconut, white chocolate chips, nuts or whatever you like for a delicious chunky, chewy treat! Either dark or light brown sugar works well in this recipe.
