Glazed Lemon Poppyseed Scones


1 package Namaste Foods Lemon Scone Mix
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons milk, any kind
4 tablespoons cold butter
Zest from 1 medium lemon
1 teaspoon poppyseeds
Lemon Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
Juice from 1 medium lemon


  1. Cut cold butter into mix as directed on package. Add zest, poppyseeds, milk and egg. Combine and shape as directed.
  2. Bake, cut and cool scones as directed.
  3. Glaze: In a separate bowl combine powdered sugar and juice. Blend well. Add water by teaspoon if too thick.
  4. Drizzle glaze over cooled scones. Optional: sprinkle with zest and poppyseeds if desired.
