Pumpkin Scones

Makes 8 scones


1 pkg Namaste Foods Muffin and Scone Mix
1/2 cup cold butter
3 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
2 eggs or equivalent
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/3 cup milk, any kind
Frosted Glaze (ingredients below) optional
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk, any kind
Spiced Glaze (optional, combine with Frosted Glaze ingredients above after mixing together separately)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 tablespoon milk, any kind


  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease cookie sheet or line with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Muffin Mix with 3 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice in a large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry cutter or forks until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Whisk together eggs, 1/3 cup milk and pumpkin puree in separate small bowl. Stir wet ingredients into dry until just combined.
  4. Shape into 8 disks or triangles, wetting fingers if needed. Space apart on baking sheet.
  5. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool for 20 minutes before glazing.
  6. Mix frosted glaze and spiced glazes into separate containers. Once scones have cooled some, spoon frosted glaze onto scones, then drizzle with spiced glaze. Allow glazes to set before serving.
