Crême Bruleé French Toast


1 package Namaste Foods Bread and Roll Mix, (prepared and cooled)
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup butter
2 tbsp. honey
5 eggs
1½ cups half and half or milk, any kind
1 tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. salt


  1. Cut bread into 1” thick slices, set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Mix in brown sugar and honey, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Pour into 9x13 baking dish. Arrange bread slices in the baking dish in a single layer. If bread doesn’t fit neatly, cut into pieces to fill in the holes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, half and half, vanilla and salt. Pour over the bread. Cover and chill at least 8 hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 350° F. Remove dish from refrigerator and bring to room temperature. Bake uncovered 35-40 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.


  • Serving suggestion: Sprinkle french toast with cinnamon and sugar if desired. Serve with crisp bacon or ham and fresh fruit cup for a quick and delicious brunch!
