Pumpkin Brownies

Makes a 9x13 pan


1 pkg. Namaste Brownie Mix, made according to directions on box
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup pumpkin (canned or cooked and mashed)
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)


  1. Bake the brownies according to package directions for a 9x13 pan, and allow to cool completely.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter, and pumpkin until thoroughly combined and fluffy. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Beat until smooth.
  3. Frost the brownies and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
